TOWN OF GEORGETOWN

INVITATION TO BID, HIGHWAY MATERIALS

The Town of Georgetown invites bids on the following road materials and services for Fiscal 2021 for the Highway Department. All materials must conform to the latest specifications of the Massachusetts Highway Department.  Bids are requested on: bituminous concrete type I at plant and in place, cold patch at plant, fiber reinforced crack filling (per gallon), resurfacing existing sidewalks, and pavement rehabilitation.

Specifications and bid forms may be obtained online at the Town Web site www.georgetownma.gov under the Town’s Web Procurement Desk.

RULE FOR AWARD

The Board of Selectmen is the awarding authority for this project. The Town (Board of Selectmen) reserves the right to accept any bid, or reject any bid deemed not to be in the best interest of the Town of Georgetown. The Town reserves the right to waive or permit correction of minor informalities and to conduct discussions with all qualified offers in any manner necessary to serve the best interests of the Town.

Sealed bids will be accepted at the office of the Town Administrator, Town Hall, 1 Library Street, Georgetown, MA 01833 until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday June 10, 2020. All bids will be publicly opened and read at 12:01 p.m. the same day.   Bids shall be plainly marked: “Bid: Highway Materials.” 

All bidders submitting bids are required to include their “Certificate of Approval Form R-109” from the MassHighway Construction Contracts Office.
