MEMORANDUM

TO:                  Interested Vendors

SUBJECT:   Highway Materials Bid (OPENING DATE OF 12:01 p.m., JULY 12, 2017)

Attached you will find materials related to the Invitation for Bids for Highway Materials, including:

Bituminous concrete type I at plant and in place.  Quote per ton

Estimated quantity for FY 2018 is 4,000 tons.

Fiber reinforced crack filling per day.  Estimated quantity for FY 2018 is 5,000 gallons.

Rehabilitation, Asphalt Pavement.

  The packet contains:

Copy of the legal ad for highway materials

Specification for the materials noted above

Attachment “A” —(1) Certificate As to Corporate Bidder; (2) Certificate as to Payment of State Taxes; (3) Certificate of Non-collusion; and (4) Certificate of Fair labor practice

(Bidders are advised that Prevailing Wage Rates are applicable to this project and will be supplied to the bidders, as appropriate for the product being bid.)

Submission requirements:

Sealed bids will be accepted at the office of the Town Administrator, Town Hall, 1 Library Street, Georgetown, MA 01833 until 12.00 p.m. Wednesday July 12. 2017 Bids will be publicly opened and read at 1:00 p.m. the same day..   Bids shall be plainly marked: “Bid: Highway Materials.” 

Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted

Bid deposits required as specified in several of the specifications

Bidders are to submit 2 copies of their bids.

Completed “Attachment A” forms must be included in bid packet
