NEW BUSINESS: 

• Approval of invoice for Fly Sense devices from Soter Technologies for $7500 (VOTE).  
• Budget Review
• Approval of payment for half the cost of the presentation of COAAST on 11/13/18, $1000, with the Georgetown PTA paying the other half. (VOTE)
• Discussion about GeorgetownCARES’ role in supporting a new Community Youth Center, application for ECAB Mini-Grant.

OLD BUSINESS: 

Action Plan Discussion 2018-2019 to include

• Choice of 1, 2 or 3 Developmental Assets to focus efforts on building, based on the results of our 2017 Attitudes & Behavior Survey, to work on this year. 
• Discussion about goals, structure & outreach of 5 Community Meetings planned. 
• Potential Speaker Events, including “Hidden in Plain Sight,” Diane Knight re vaping & tobacco, and a theatrical presentation re the Opioid crisis (more people are now dying of opioid overdoses than of breast cancer) by COAAST https://www.coaast.org/- Creating Outreach About Addiction Support Together.

The GeorgetownCARES Coalition Committee (GCCC) is a community health and safety initiative seeking to encourage Georgetown citizens of all ages to make safe, healthy and responsible decisions about substance-use. Our mission is to promote substance abuse prevention strategies, education and resources aimed at making Georgetown the healthiest community it can be.
