I. MASSPAC membership

-Two trainings in a year with the higher level MASSPAC membership

J.  Haverhill and Pentucket SEPAC shared trainings in 2019-20

-September 2019 – Advocate/Attorney breakfast of a Saturday morning

-Shared trainings in November, January, March and May (two of these can be MASSPAC/Federation trainings).

-Monthly Support Group tentatively scheduled for Groveland

Responsibilities for each officer

“a. Chairperson(s)

Set the agenda for each general meeting and arrange for guest speakers/ workshops, as required.  Preside at all meetings of the Georgetown SEPAC.  Act as liaison with the Director of Special Education meeting preferably monthly and no less than quarterly during the school year.  Act as liaison with School Committee Special Education Liaison, meeting as needed or as mutually decided; will attend all School Committee meetings that bring up/discuss Special Education issues when possible.  Develop SEPAC ADHOC Committees as needed. 

b. Treasurer

Coordinates efforts to apply for grants, donations, reimbursements or any other funds for which Georgetown SEPAC may be eligible.  Manages and accounts for funds collected or donated for the Georgetown SEPAC.  Manages and accounts for funds spent by the Georgetown SEPAC.  Monitors and coordinates the financing of fund raising activities. 

c. Secretary

Records minutes of SEPAC meetings.  Monitors the SEPAC email in conjunction with the SEPAC Chairperson.  Notifies SEPAC of scheduled meetings.

d. Fundraising Chairperson(s)

Develops and coordinates the annual SEPAC Trick or Trunk event with the SEPAC members, School District Administration and the community.  Conducts other SEPAC fundraising activities

B. Special Education  Review Committee

Three General and/or Voting members of this committee will be elected by the membership for terms of one, two and three years.  This committee will also consist of the SEPAC Executive Committee.  This Committee will assess, evaluate and make recommendations of Special Educational Programming, Assessments, Services, Training and staffing as outlined in Article II section A and Article II section B of these bylaws.  The Special Education Review Committee shall meet a minimum of every other month.  This committee may also make specific information requests of the School District Administration.  Recommendations of this committee will be discussed with the SEPAC membership and school district administration”
