TUESDAY APRIL 18th is National Lineman Appreciation Day

A time to express our utmost appreciation to the great men and women that work so hard for us every day. It's our honor to celebrate the hard work, innovation, and dedication of Electrical Lineworkers.  If you see our guys around town be sure to thank them for all their hard work. 

 

Mission Statement:

The Georgetown Light Department is a municipal electric utility that has been serving the ratepayers of the Town of Georgetown since December of 1912.

Customers can come into the office during working hours to sign on for service, pay bills or conduct general Light Plant business. There is a drive-up payment drop box located at both the Light Department building and the Water Department for customers’ convenience.

 

When Customers Experience Loss of Electric Power:

  1. Check main breaker at electric panel.
  2. If electric problem is out side the house call the LIGHT DEPARTMENT OFFICE AT 978-352-5730. The Georgetown Police Department will dispatch the ON CALL PERSON who will contact you.

The Police Department will only dispatch for POWER OUTAGES. For additional information please call the LIGHT DEPARTMENT OFFICE DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
