Our mission as your local, electric utility, is to strive diligently at providing low cost power for residential and commercial customers, while offering superior customer service and considerable value to the community.
The Georgetown Light Department is a municipal electric utility that has been serving the ratepayers of the Town of Georgetown since December of 1912.
To make a payment you can drop off your payment in one of our yellow drop boxes located in our parking lot at 94 Searle Street and in the Water Department parking lot at the corner of W. Main and Moulton Streets. Or go online www.georgetownlight.com
When Customers Experience Loss of Electric Power:
- Check main breaker at electric panel.
- If electric problem is outside the house, call the LIGHT DEPARTMENT OFFICE AT 978-352-5730. The Georgetown Police Department will dispatch the ON CALL PERSON who will contact you.
