GEORGETOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

For Immediate Release:
The Georgetown Police Department is investigating a number of motor vehicle breaks in the past week. At this point suspects seem to be targeting longer driveways with vehicles away from the street and during the early morning hours. Entrance into the vehicle is gained through unlocked doors or smashing a window of locked vehicles. Suspects are taking laptop computers, GPS units, cells phones, stereos and any cash.
It is strongly recommended that the residents of Georgetown remove all valuable items from their vehicle during the night hours.
