Juveniles Charged with Vandalizing Georgetown Club

Georgetown police arrested two juveniles on charges of vandalizing the Georgetown Club this weekend.
On Saturday, June 28, at approximately 5 a.m., Officer Garrett Barber and Officer Neil Turmenne responded to the Georgetown Club on Andover Street for a report of vandalism. Upon their arrival, the workers showed them damage to the main building, the pro shop, the maintenance building, golf carts, construction equipment, sidewalks and other items.
Someone had also spray painted the property with numerous different offensive images, according to the police report.
Sgt. Kevin DeFeo and Detective James Rodden were called in to further investigate. Following their investigation, two juveniles were arrested and charged with tagging, malicious destruction of property and trespassing.
The names of the juveniles were not released. They are due to appear in Lawrence Juvenile Court on Monday
The damage did not require the club to close, according to police.
