Winter Parking Ban

Each December 1st Georgetown’s winter parking ban takes effect. The ban continues until the following April 1st.

During the ban, no parking is allowed on any street between the hours of 1 AM and 6 AM.

Additionally no parking is allowed on any street during a declared snow emergency. (A snow emergency is always declared when any impending storm is forecast to be 6” or more in depth).

Any vehicle impeding or blocking snow and ice control will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Cars may park overnight in the Park & Ride lot, however please park all cars on the right side (when entering from East Main Street) during snowstorms. This will allow the plows to clean the entire parking lot without having to maneuver around parked cars.
