Officers Honored
On June 8, 2011 Chief Mulligan gave recognition plaques to Master Patrol Officer Scott Hatch and Officer Philip Klibansky for their efforts that resulted in a seizure of $45,000.00 on April 26th 2010. The delay in awarding these plaques stems from the time it takes to obtain a civil order to share the proceeds of the seized monies. This was done working with the US Department of Justice Equitable Sharing Program.
Plaque Text
Officer Klibansky and Master patrol Officer Hatch, on April 26th 2010, while conducting motor vehicle enforcement you stopped a vehicle that contained $45,000.00 in cash, that you determined were illegal drug related profits. As a result of your proactive police work the Georgetown Police Department received the bulk of the proceeds from this stop. These funds have been used to increase the safety and security of our officers. Thank you for a job well done.
