A local man was recently charged with 27 counts of malicious damage under $250, and 1 count of malicious damage over $250 in regards to mailbox damage and also damage to a holiday display that occurred on December 7, 2008.
Robert W. Hadden age 20, of 10 Abbey Rd. Georgetown will receive a Clerk Magistrates Hearing date at the Haverhill District Court for allegedly causing malicious damage to 28 mailboxes with his motor vehicle.
Investigators got a break in the case when Ofc. Neil Turmenne observed a vehicle parked in Hadden’s driveway that displayed damage that was consistent with vehicle parts that were being recovered at the scenes of the damaged mailboxes.
An investigation of the case was conducted by the Detective Division of the Georgetown Police Department who charged Hadden with the offenses. The effected areas in town included Abbey Rd., White Pine Dr., Marlboro Rd., Wilkins Ter., Searle St., Lisa Ln., and Bussing Way.
