The Georgetown Police maintain a partnership with the Women's Resource Center in Haverhill. They provide a 24 hour hotline 978-685-2480 to provide crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals. All services are free and confidential.
We also have a Domestic Violence Rapid Response Team comprised of female advocates to assist victims with information, counseling, and referrals on domestic violence issues. An advocate is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. Each advocate has received specialized training to assist victims throughout the entire process, including applying for an order of protection (commonly referred to as a 209a), assisting in understanding court proceedings, seeking emergency housing for you and your children, and many other areas.
