Domestic Violence
No One Should Live In Fear or With Abuse:
Emotional, Verbal or Physical!

The Georgetown Police maintain a partnership with the Women's Resource Center in Haverhill. They provide a 24 hour hotline 978-685-2480 to provide crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals.  All services are free and confidential.
We also have a Domestic Violence Rapid Response Team comprised of female advocates to assist victims with information, counseling, and referrals on domestic violence issues.  An advocate is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.  Each advocate has received specialized training to assist victims throughout the entire process, including applying for an order of protection (commonly referred to as a 209a), assisting in understanding court proceedings, seeking emergency housing for you and your children, and many other areas.  If you have questions please call our Domestic Violence Liaison, Detective James Rodden or an advocate.

Don't hesitate, call 978-352-5700, you are not alone.

Additional resources can be found at the Essex County District Attorney's website, or from The Commonwealth's Website
