MASS SAVE GREAT APPLIANCE EXCHANGE ENERGY STAR APPLIANCES
Mass Save will be offering rebates for recycling certain older appliances and purchasing certain new ENERGY STAR energy efficient appliances. The appliances qualifying for this program are:
[DISHWASHER - $250] [REFRIGERATORS - $200] [WASHERS - $175] [FREEZERS - $50]
To take advantage of this program:
Make your reservation from April 22, 2010 to May 5, 2010 – NO RESERVATION MEANS NO REBATE – NO EXCEPTIONS
- Choose AND purchase an eligible model at an approved retailer BEFORE May 5, 2010 – lists of acceptable appliances and retailers are available at the Web site now – if it is not an approved appliance OR retailer – there will be NO rebate even if you have a reservation MASSACHUSETTS RETAILERS ONLY
- Schedule delivery AND REMOVAL OF OLD APPLIANCE with retailer –THE REBATE IS A RECYCLE REBATE – No removal of old appliance means no rebate
- Purchase receipt MUST BE DATED BETWEEN APRIL 22 AND MAY 5, 2010
- Each RESIDENCE in Massachusetts is eligible for one rebate in each appliance category
- If a resident receives a reservation rebate number for a dishwasher – it CANNOT be used for a refrigerator, washer or freezer and vice-versa
Funding for this program is limited – get your reservation as soon as you can – first come first serve; when funds are gone, the program will issue no more rebates – we suggest that if you are interested in this program that you contact MASS SAVE on April 22nd
Completed rebate forms will only be honored if postmarked and mailed to the designated address by JUNE 19, 2010 – even if you have a reservation and you do not comply with the deadline there will be no rebate
- Because this is anticipated to be a very popular program, PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS YOU RECEIVE FROM MASS SAVE – IF THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT FOLLOWED THERE WILL BE NO REBATE
You must include a copy of your electric bill with your rebate form and the service address must match the delivery address - it is highly advisable that the receipt be in the name of the account holder
- You MUST include confirmation that the old appliance has been picked up – the retailers are aware of this so make sure you insist that you have this in your paperwork from the retailer
Georgetown Municipal Light will additionally honor our regular Energy Star Rebate Program explained on the Town of Georgetown web site (www.georgetown.gov). Once reaching the Town’s page, click on Departments and then Light Department.
This is a GREAT opportunity for Georgetown residents to take part in. Please understand that our staff will assist you in any way we can, BUT this program is NOT run by us and we CANNOT accept any rebate forms. We will provide copies of information from the web site for those of you who do not have the internet available and assist in explaining the guidelines.
