Georgetown firefighters responded to this two-car motor vehicle crash on West Main Street near the town line during afternoon rush hour on Tuesday April 20. First arriving was Car 1 Chief Al Beardsley followed by Car 3 Deputy Russ Moyer, Rescue 1 and Engine 5. All occupants had self-extricated prior to fire department arrival. Firefighters found the cars crashed head-on and there was airbag deployment. Fortunately all occupants of the cars were wearing their seat belts. All three were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening
injuries, two via Byfield A-1 and one by AMR. Cause of the crash is under
investigation by the Georgetown Police Department.
