Georgetown Fire Department Observes September 11th
Members of the Georgetown Fire and Police Departments held a ceremony on Friday September 11th to observe the 8th anniversary of the terrorists attacks on the United States.  Addressing the crowd of citizens that attended were Board of Selectman Chairman Phil Trapani, Georgetown Fire Chief Albert Beardsley, and Georgetown Police Chief James Mulligan. Prayers were offered by (ret.) Pastor Russell Moyer, Sr, and the Fireman's Prayer was read by Firefighter Robin Gariepy. The main theme of the day is to never forget the sacrifices made that day by so many
firefighters, police and EMS workers in addition to the thousands of civilian lives lost.  Finally, we also need to remember our fighting men and women of our armed forces, keeping them in our thoughts every day.
