Single Car Motor Vehicle Crash Route 95
The Georgetown Fire Department responded to a mid-afternoon crash on Interstate Route 95 northbound, north of the Jewitt Street overpass on Wednesday November 18th. Responding were Car 1 (Chief Beardsley), Rescue 1, Engines 4 and 5 and the medic ambulance from Byfield Fire Department. On arrival units found the female driver became distracted and drove off the shoulder and into the trees. Fortunately the driver was able to self extricated herself and the Byfield medics transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
