The Town Accountant provides the controllership and audit functions for the Town and its various departments while protecting the fiduciary interest of the Town by ensuring that the financial records are accurately maintained and preserved.
The Town Accountant is responsible for the sound financial management and integrity of the finance system in the administration, development, and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets. Utilizing sound accounting practices, the Town Accountant performs all other auditing and accounting functions pursuant to the Town Charter, Town By-Laws, and the laws of the Commonwealth.
