Report of the Tree Warden
July 1, 2000-June 30, 2001
w Nineteen damaged or diseased trees were taken down.
w Four new trees were planted, with 20 more due to be done in various locations around town, in the next year.
w Tree trimming, pruning and brush cutting continue as the budget allows.
w Information gathering has been completed to start a draft true inventory for the downtown and surrounding areas. This will be worked on as time and the budget allows.
w Anyone wanting firewood is asked to contact the Highway Department to be put on a list. The rules of the program will be provided when you call.
All work where feasible was done in-house with the assistance of the Light Department. The balance was done by Valley Tree.
